🌍 Remote Flexible Hours Mid-Senior Multilingual & Localization
About This Role

1\. Role Overview

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving architectural reasoning, design analysis, and technical drafting capabilities in advanced language models. We’re seeking experienced Architecture professionals to contribute by creating and evaluating architecture-related prompts and responses.

This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and professionally active in one or more of the following languages:

Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Importantly, we are not looking for translation ability alone. Candidates must have real-world professional experience practicing architecture in their language and cultural context, with familiarity in local building codes, design norms, terminology, and professional standards.

2\. Key Responsibilities

  • Author realistic architecture prompts spanning conceptual design, building systems, materials, construction methods, sustainability, and code compliance
  • Review and revise AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, feasibility, clarity, and adherence to professional standards
  • Write high-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex or ambiguous architectural and design scenarios
  • Create controlled prompt variations that test subtle differences in site constraints, regulations, climate conditions, or client requirements
  • Evaluate outputs across different lengths, styles, and instruction constraints
  • Identify model failure cases involving technical inaccuracies, unrealistic designs, improper code interpretation, or culturally inconsistent architectural assumptions

3\. Ideal Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or a closely related field
  • 2+ years of professional work experience in architecture, architectural design, or a related practice (e.g., architectural firms, construction firms, urban planning agencies)
  • Active professional familiarity with architectural practice in at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, documentation standards, construction practices, and design conventions within your linguistic/cultural context
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills in the target language
  • Ability to work independently and make careful, well-reasoned editorial judgments

4\. More About the Opportunity

  • Expected commitment: 10–40 hours per week

5\. Application Process

  • Submit your resume to get started
  • Complete a short form outlining your architectural background, areas of specialization, and language proficiency
  • We aim to follow up within a few days with next steps

Interview Prep Guide

EXCLUSIVE

Many top hiring platforms use AI-powered screening as the first step. Here's how to stand out when applying for a Multilingual Architecture Expert role:

Native-Level Fluency: Be prepared to demonstrate not just language fluency but cultural context — idiomatic expressions, regional variations, and domain-specific terminology.

Quality Assessment: Show your ability to evaluate content for naturalness, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness — not just grammatical correctness.

Consistency: Discuss your approach to maintaining consistent terminology and style across large volumes of content. Evaluators value reliability.

Practice Behavioral Question

"Walk me through a project where you had to learn a new domain quickly. How did you ramp up, and what would you do differently?"
